Holder Backs Obama’s ACA Remarks Amid 5th Circ. Flap

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 7:12 PM EDT) -- Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday reportedly defended the president’s recent comments urging the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the health reform law, saying his office will brief the Fifth Circuit by Thursday on the role of the courts in reviewing acts of Congress.

Holder acknowledged Wednesday that courts have “final say” on constitutionality, while also defending President Barack Obama’s remarks that the high court should uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the Associated Press reported.
