Patent Mistake Kills $1.8B Suit Against Nikon

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- Nikon Corp. on Tuesday evaded potential damages of $1.8 billion when a New York federal judge determined that Anvik Corp. microlithography patents Nikon allegedly infringed were invalid due to their inventor's failure to disclose how the inventions should best be applied.
