USDA Rule To Boost Gov't Purchases Of Biobased Products

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 2:47 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Wednesday finalized a rule that adds air fresheners and deodorizers, inks and 11 other categories of biobased products to its list of preferred items for federal procurement.

The rule complies with a Feb. 21 presidential memo directing the U.S. government to dramatically increase its use of commercial or industrial products made with biological products and renewable materials.
