Burlington Fires Back At Vuitton Infringement Suit

Law360 (August 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp. has denied trampling Louis Vuitton Malletier's trademarks and copyrights for a popular rainbow-colored handbag, and launched counterclaims alleging that some of the trademarks are invalid.

Top designer Louis Vuitton accused Burlington of infringing the three trademarked designs that make up the well-known Louis Vuitton monogram and violating its copyright for the “Murakami” bag, decorated with a pastel pattern.
