Calif. JV Gets Go-Ahead On $486M Light Rail Project

Law360, New York (April 5, 2012, 9:38 PM EDT) -- The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority on Tuesday gave the Kiewit Parsons Joint Venture a green light to begin work on a $486 million contract to build an 11.5-mile light rail extension between the Southern California cities of Pasadena and Azusa.

The Construction Authority, an independent agency created by the California Legislature to run the construction of the Los Angeles-to-Pasadena Metro Gold Line light rail, issued a full notice to proceed to Kiewit Parsons to design and construct the tracks, stations, crossings, bridges, utilities...
