Former Loan Officers Sue MetLife Over Unpaid Commissions

Law360, New York (April 6, 2012, 5:09 PM EDT) -- A onetime MetLife Bank NA mortgage consultant launched a proposed class action Thursday in Maryland federal court that claims the company's now-defunct home loans unit is wrongly withholding sales commissions from consultants who were terminated when the division abruptly closed.

David Conaway's complaint says that when MetLife Home Loans LLC suddenly announced in January that it was shutting down operations, it promised to pay commissions to hundreds of mortgage consultants for sales that were closed by March 31.
