ITC To Weigh Duties For German, Korean Carbon Steel

Law360, New York (April 9, 2012, 6:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted unanimously to launch full sunset reviews of duties placed on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Germany and South Korea, the agency said Monday.

The commission said it had decided to launch a formal investigation into whether lifting three protective measures — anti-dumping duties on steel carbon products from both countries and an additional countervailing duty on the products from South Korea — was likely to harm domestic manufacturers.
