South Korea Lifts Ban On Panasonic Plasma Displays In Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (April 13, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- South Korean authorities have ended an investigation into Japan's Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. and lifted a temporary ban on imports of the company's plasma display panels in the wake of the settlement of a patent dispute between Matsushita and Korea’s LG Electronics.

The Korean Trade Commission lifted the ban after LG Electronics, which brought an intellectual property suit against Matsushita, signed a cross-licensing deal with the Japanese company and withdrew its request for import restrictions.
