Fulmer Agrees To Class Refund In Helmet Safety Suit

Law360, New York (April 12, 2012, 1:22 PM EDT) -- Fulmer Helmets Inc. reached a settlement Wednesday with a group of consumers alleging the company distorted the safety of its motorcycle helmets, asking a Tennessee federal court to approve an agreement granting approximately 30,000 people either a new helmet or a $25 cash reward.

The settlement comes 10 years after lead plaintiff Robert Fabian initially filed the putative class action in state court after a friend for whom he purchased a Fulmer's AF-50 model helmet died in a motorcycle crash while wearing the headgear. Fabian said...
