Apple, Publishers Unlikely To Cave On E-Books Soon

Law360, New York (April 12, 2012, 10:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust case accusing Apple Inc. and publishers Penguin Group (USA) Inc. and Macmillan of conspiring to hike e-book prices will not be resolved any time soon, experts say, with the companies hedging their bets that the outcome of a courtroom battle with the agency will not be more onerous than the terms of settlements reached by their alleged co-conspirators.
