Dechert Leads France Telecom In $2B Egyptian Mobile Co. Offer

Law360, New York (April 12, 2012, 9:16 PM EDT) -- France Telecom-Orange has agreed to purchase most of a North African and Middle Eastern holding company's shares in the Egyptian Co. for Mobil Services for €1.5 billion ($2 billion), it said Thursday.

The deal lays out the final terms for an agreement struck in February between France Telecom and Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding SAE for the French telecom giant to buy up the majority of Orascom's shares in ECMS for 202.50 Egyptian pounds ($33.54) per share.
