Microsoft Asks ITC To Pause Ruling In Motorola Xbox IP Row

Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 8:47 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. on Friday asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to withhold for two months a ruling on Motorola Mobility Inc.’s patent infringement claims surrounding Xbox gaming consoles, saying it could interfere with a district court development on the same matter.

A judge in the Western District of Washington on Wednesday barred Motorola from enforcing an anticipated injunction from a German court, which could ban some Microsoft products, until the judge rules on claims that Motorola broke agreements to license its patents at reasonable rates.
