Tessera Adds Anti-Trust Claims To Patent Suit Vs. Infineon, Micron

Law360 (April 15, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chip packaging company Tessera Technologies Inc. has amended its patent infringement suit against Infineon Technologies AG and Micron Technology Inc. to include what it claims are violations of antitrust law and illegal business interference.

In the amendment, Tessera seeks damages and an injunction under Federal and Texas law based on Micron and Infineon's allegedly anticompetitive actions in the synchronous DRAM market.

That claim is in addition to Tessera's existing charges that certain of the defendants' packaged semiconductor components use Tessera patented inventions.
