Carlyle Says It's Worth $7.6B In Run-Up To IPO

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 10:11 PM EDT) -- The Carlyle Group LP is gearing up for its initial public offering with plans to price shares at $23 to $25 apiece, valuing the company at up to $7.6 billion, the company said Monday.

The leading private equity firm will sell about 30.5 million, or 10 percent, of its shares, with the possibility of raising up to $762.5 million before fees, according to an IPO registration statement Carlyle filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
