NYC Scraps Waste-To-Energy Plant Plans For Old Dump Site

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 6:33 PM EDT) -- New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Friday dropped plans to build a waste-to-energy plant atop a former landfill on Staten Island, yielding to political pressure from angry residents who said their borough has been a dumping ground for decades.
