EU Proposes Single Market For Satellite Services

Law360, New York (August 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As part of an effort to create a pan-European market for telecom services, the European Commission has proposed a new plan that would streamline the licensing procedure for mobile television, broadband and emergency communications technologies.

The Commission said on Wednesday that it had adopted a proposal to reform the existing international framework for satellite communications in order to create a single market for satellite services.
