NY Greens Pressure GOP On Fracking Waste Bill

Law360, New York (April 17, 2012, 2:37 PM EDT) -- New York environmentalists sought Tuesday to ramp up pressure on state Republicans to consider a bill that could regulate natural gas drilling fluids and runoff water as hazardous waste, placing the bill on their short list of legislative priorities.

Environmental Advocates of New York said putting the measure, backed by Democratic Sen. Tony Avella of Queens, New York, on its list of "environmental super bills" would give it special attention as green groups mobilize in Albany ahead of Earth Day.
