Oil Cos. Face New Suit From Gas Station Owners

Law360 (August 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Gas station owners in California have taken aim at Shell Oil Co., Chevron Corp. and Saudi Refining Inc. in a putative class action alleging that the oil companies engaged in a scheme to fix fuel prices for 23,000 U.S. franchise owners.

Nearly two dozen franchise owners launched the case Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, which recalls a similar case brought by California owners in 2004, according to the Associated Press.
