JPML Won't Merge 7 Class Actions Over Faulty Siding

Law360, New York (April 17, 2012, 7:25 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Tuesday refused to centralize in Ohio seven putative class actions accusing Gentek Building Products Inc. and Associated Materials LLC of selling defective exterior siding and breaching product warranties.

Gentek and Associated Materials had attempted to centralize the seven actions in five districts to the Northern District of Ohio, but all plaintiffs opposed the move and said they would voluntarily coordinate among themselves.
