Five More Companies Recall Products Over Lead Risk

Law360, New York (August 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five American companies recalled Chinese-made children's products on Tuesday and Wednesday after finding they contained potentially dangerous levels of lead, the latest in a wave of similar recalls ordered in recent months.

The voluntary recalls were announced in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

On Tuesday, the CPSC announced the recall of about 27,000 toy trains imported by Hampton Direct Inc. found to contain dangerously high levels of lead in their paint.
