Ivera Targets Catheter Connections Over Medical Device IP

Law360, New York (April 19, 2012, 3:52 PM EDT) -- Ivera Medical Corp. hit rival medical products manufacturer Catheter Connections Inc. with a patent infringement suit in California federal court Wednesday over a device designed to clean intravenous valves used in medical procedures.

The filing marks an intensified defense by Ivera of the device patent, for which the company has filed complaints against two other rivals, Hospira Inc. and Excelsior Medical Corp.
