MF Global Trustee Plans To Pursue $700M In UK Suit

Law360, New York (April 18, 2012, 8:21 PM EDT) -- The trustee recovering property for bankrupt MF Global Inc.'s creditors said Wednesday he intends to ask a U.K. court to order administrators for MF Global's U.K. affiliate to turn over $700 million in disputed customer funds.

Trustee James Giddens said he has been in discussions since November with a KPMG LLP affiliate acting as the joint special administrators of MF Global UK Ltd.'s estate about the disputed funds and whether the money should be segregated under English law. KPMG has indicated it's willing to ask a...
