Judge Allows Some Claims In LED Suit To Go Forward

Law360 (August 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed some claims in a case filed by light emitting diode maker Nichia Corp. alleging Seoul Semiconductor Ltd. was infringing four of its patents.

In her decision Wednesday, Judge Maxine M. Chesney of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said there were some triable issues of fact in the case. She also ruled on claim construction.

A trial is set for Sept. 10.
