Senate To Consider Blocking NLRB's 'Ambush Elections' Rule

Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 6:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Monday will take a closer look at the National Labor Relations Board's recent regulation seeking to speed up the union election process, as Senate Republicans look to overturn the rule.

The Senate resolution, if effected, will enact a joint resolution of disapproval that will prevent the NLRB from implementing its so-called “ambush elections” regulation, which it has said will help streamline labor elections.
