Texas Firm Sues For Its Share Of $44M Wellogix Award

Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 8:52 PM EDT) -- A Texas law firm is suing software company Wellogix Inc. and its attorneys, claiming it is owed a cut of the $44 million jury verdict won in a contract and trade secrets dispute with Accenture LLP.

The Matthews Firm PLLC, formerly Matthews Lawson & Bowick PLLC, sued its former co-counsel Laminack Pirtle & Martines LLP and former client Wellogix last week in Texas state court, claiming it was discharged without cause after it had helped with several intellectual property lawsuits.
