Federal Circuit Sends Loral's Patent Suit Vs. Lockheed Martin Back To District Court

Law360 (April 20, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has overturned a California federal court’s decision to invalidate a satellite-control technology patent belonging to Loral Space & Communications Ltd. in a patent suit against Lockheed Martin Corp.

Wednesday's ruling reversed a June 2004 decision by Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, who invalidated a patent on technology that maneuvers the attitude of satellites in orbit.
