NLRB 'Ambush Elections' Rule Favors Big Labor, GOP Says

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 5:47 PM EDT) -- The National Labor Relations Board's efforts to fast-track union elections represent a “blatant effort to stack the odds in big labor's favor” and must be blocked by Congress, the Republican sponsor of legislation designed to do just that said Monday.

Sen. Mike Enzi of Wyoming said in a floor proceeding before the U.S. Senate that the NLRB's so-called “ambush elections” rule implementing streamlined union election procedures will harm employers and employees alike, to the benefit of the country's labor unions.
