Cigna Snags Mont. State Employee Health Plan Contract

Law360, New York (April 24, 2012, 3:45 PM EDT) -- Health insurance giant Cigna Corp. has been selected by Montana officials to administer the state's employee health plan and will serve more than 30,000 employees and their family members starting in January 2013, the insurer said Monday.

Cigna was awarded a three-year contract and will take over administrative services from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana and New West Health Services. Montana is the 10th state that has partnered with Cigna for insurance services, the company said.
