Medicare's Anti-Fraud Efforts Draw Fire From GOP Senators

Law360, New York (April 24, 2012, 3:31 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Senate Finance Committee hearing staged to spotlight success in curbing Medicare fraud turned into a combative showdown Tuesday, with Republicans accusing government administrators of lying down on the job.

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, took aim at the implementation of new powers granted under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, calling overall progress “lackluster at best.”
