Honeywell Sued Over Energy Forecasting

Law360, New York (August 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Honeywell International Inc. became the target of yet another patent infringement suit from Texas-based holding company Phoenix IP LLC, which said the industrial giant infringed its energy expense forecasting patent.

The Texas-based patent holding company filed the suit in the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday. According to the suit, the patent at issue, U.S. Patent Number 6,577,962, was issued back in 2003, with Afshin Afshari listed as the technology's inventor.
