Representation Of BP Gets Lawyer Into Hot Water

Law360, New York (August 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ronald D. Krist, a Houston attorney who is defending BP in litigation over a fatal blast that occurred at the energy company’s Texas City refinery in 2005, has come under fire in a lawsuit brought by a former client who employed Krist’s law firm to recover damages from BP as a result of the explosion.

The former client, Jose L. Elizondo, filed a legal malpractice suit against Krist and Krist Law Firm in a Texas state court in Harris County on Aug. 20.
