EPO Finds IPCom Patent Invalid In Nokia Wireless IP Fight

Law360, New York (April 25, 2012, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Nokia Corp. said Wednesday that the European Patent Office declared a patent belonging to IPCom GmbH & Co. KG to be invalid, dealing a blow to the patent-licensing company in a multibillion-dollar feud over wireless technology patents.

Nokia said the finding by the EPO means that a Tuesday ruling by a German court is not expected to stop the sales of Nokia products in Germany.
