Miami Schemers Get Prison, $40M Penalty For Medicare Fraud

Law360, New York (April 25, 2012, 6:53 PM EDT) -- Three Miami health care agency operators on Wednesday were sentenced to several years in prison and must pay $40 million in restitution for their roles in a $60 million home health Medicare fraud scheme, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Roberto, Olga and Fabian Gonzalez managed Nany Home Health Inc., a Florida home health agency that purported to provide home health care and physical therapy services to eligible Medicare beneficiaries.
