Calif. Panel OKs Bill Letting Court Workers Join Union

Law360, San Diego (April 26, 2012, 8:26 PM EDT) -- A bill seeking to allow employees of California's Administrative Office of the Courts, the administrative agency of the judicial branch, to join a union like other public employees in the state gained approval Thursday by a state Assembly panel.

The Democrat-controlled Assembly Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security Committee voted 4-2 along party lines to pass A.B. 2381, authored by Assemblyman Roger Hernandez, D-West Covina.
