Denso Exec Prison Bound For Auto Parts Price-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 3:43 PM EDT) -- A former executive from Japanese auto parts maker Denso Corp. will plead guilty in Michigan federal court and serve 14 months in prison for his role in a price-fixing and bid-rigging conspiracy, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday.

Makoto Hattori and others conspired to rig bids and fix prices for vehicle heater-control panels from at least 2005 through 2008, according to the DOJ.
