Cuomo Unveils $450M Energy Efficiency Effort

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 4:50 PM EDT) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo revealed a $450 million financing plan Thursday to reduce energy consumption in state buildings by 20 percent, a green effort whose announcement coincides with Earth Day week.

The money will come in the form of investments the New York Power Authority, said the governor, who is facing pressure from green groups to reduce the state's dependence on fossils fuels.
