Senate Committee Approves $119M For NJ Water Projects

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 6:47 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday approved $119 million in funding for New Jersey projects, which Democratic senators say will help maintain jobs and mitigate flood damage, as part of the $33.4 billion Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill.

The full bill was first approved Tuesday by the Subcommittee on Energy and Water with funding for the Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of Energy and the Bureau of Reclamation for investments in water infrastructure, clean energy sources and national security activities related to nuclear weapons...
