Treasury Fines Medical Equipment Maker Over Iran Shipment

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 5:47 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury has levied a $126,000 fine on a Colorado manufacturer of medical equipment for illegally delivering therapeutic supplies to Iran, agency officials said Wednesday.

Sandhill Scientific Inc. sent the $6,700 shipment in 2007 through a middleman in Dubai and then engaged in a cover-up, according to Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.
