Under Armour Sues Body Armor Drink Maker To Protect Mark

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 2:06 PM EDT) -- Under Armour Inc. on Thursday accused a sports drink maker of leeching off the athletic apparel maker's good name by labeling its beverages with a name and logo intended to deceive consumers into believing the products fall under the UA brand.

UA said in its trademark infringement suit filed in Maryland federal court that Body Armor Nutrition LLC has affixed its confusingly similar name and logo to its line of sports drinks in order to take advantage of the apparel maker's reputation.
