NJ Sierra Club Blasts Proposed Business Permit Changes

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 9:05 PM EDT) -- Proposed regulations in New Jersey to help streamline business permits are too vague and could weaken environmental protections, the New Jersey Chapter of the Sierra Club said Monday.

Weighing in on the proposed rule, the New Jersey Sierra Club worried it could negatively affect the ability of agencies to uphold their mission and "open the door to political pressure and abuse by special interests pushing for their pet projects to the detriment of the environment, public health, and safety."
