Mercedes Gets Big Earners Booted From OT Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Mercedes-Benz US International Inc. on Monday won dismissal of overtime claims filed in Alabama federal court by a group of manufacturing managers the automaker argued should be pared from the larger proposed class action due to their status as highly compensated employees.

U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler granted Mercedes' motion to dismiss Fair Labor Standards Act claims lodged by 16 individual group leaders who allege the automaker shorted them on overtime pay.
