Wal-Mart Denied Discovery Stay In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bid by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to secure a discovery stay in a putative class action alleging the retailer violated California wage-and-hour laws was shot down Tuesday by a federal judge.

Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong denied Wal-Mart’s emergency motion to stay two discovery orders that require Wal-Mart to complete a massive production of documents by Wednesday for the case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
