Yahoo Asks Court To Toss Torture Complicity Case

Law360, New York (August 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Yahoo! Inc has asked a California court to throw out a suit accusing the company of complicity in the jailing and torture of journalist Shi Tao and blogger Wang Xiaoning, both of whom were sentenced to 10-year prison terms in China after the defendants turned over information on their Internet usage to the Chinese government, the lawsuit says.
