Chesapeake CEO 'Deeply Sorry' As Sen. Calls For Fraud Probe

Law360, New York (May 2, 2012, 4:37 PM EDT) -- Chesapeake Energy Corp. CEO Aubrey McClendon apologized to investors on Wednesday for a scandal related to his personal finances that has spawned legal actions, eager to move on even as a U.S. senator called for a federal investigation into possible fraud.

In a conference call with investors, McClendon made his first public statements since news broke last month that he had taken out $1.1 billion in personal loans secured by personal interests in thousands of Chesapeake wells.
