ITC Denies Epistar Request To Stop Ban Of LEDs

Law360, New York (August 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has denied Taiwanese company Epistar Corp.'s request to stay an exclusion order, a ruling which a Royal Philips Electronics unit said sets the stage for a ban on the import of light-emitting diodes.

However, an Epistar attorney said the ruling should have little effect on a stay order issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which is still in effect.
