GSA Narrows Field Of Green Building Certification Systems

Law360, New York (May 4, 2012, 1:50 PM EDT) -- The U.S. General Services Administration on Thursday released an initial review of green building certifications systems, narrowing more than 180 systems down to three finalists but finding none meet 100 percent of federal building requirements.

In addition to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design that has been the federal standard in the last 10 years, the report said the Green Building Initiative's Green Globes and the International Living Building Challenge passed the screening criteria.
