FSLA Claim V. Susman Godfrey Sent To Arbitration

Law360, New York (August 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Susman Godfrey LLP and a former legal assistant who filed a $2 million lawsuit against the firm for allegedly failing to pay overtime are headed into arbitration at the behest of a federal judge.

In an order handed down Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Judge Sim Lake granted Godfrey's motion to compel arbitration after finding that plaintiff Alfred Gary Killen's allegations are arbitrable and are within the scope of a valid arbitration agreement between the plaintiff and defendants....
