Ex-NY Hospital Network Head Gets 3 Years For Bribes

Law360, New York (May 7, 2012, 8:34 PM EDT) -- Former MediSys Health Network CEO David Rosen was sentenced to three years in prison Monday for paying bribes to three politicians, including the once-powerful former New York state Sen. Carl Kruger.

Rosen, 64, was convicted in September of five criminal counts for bribing Kruger, ex-Assemblyman Anthony Seminerio and Assemblyman William F. Boyland Jr.

MediSys, a not-for-profit network Rosen helped establish, runs three hospitals and a network of clinics in impoverished parts of Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y. Rosen's bribes to the three politicians helped the organization push...
