Manufacturing Co. To Pay $1M For Allegedly Overbilling NSA

Law360, New York (May 8, 2012, 2:00 PM EDT) -- Manufacturing company Bechdon Co. Inc., accused of overbilling the National Security Agency in a scheme that sent its former president to prison, on Monday agreed to pay $1 million, sell its operations and get rid of its current president as part of a nonprosecution deal with the Maryland U.S. Attorney's Office.

Maryland-based Bechdon allegedly maintained a conspiracy to inflate the labor hours of company employees working on jobs for the NSA, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
