Enviro Loses Bid To Halt Post-Deepwater Oil Leases

Law360, New York (May 10, 2012, 1:58 PM EDT) -- An Alabama federal judge on Tuesday dismissed an attempt by Defenders of Wildlife to stop hundreds of offshore oil drilling leases from proceeding, rejecting the group’s claims that the government failed to conduct environmental reviews incorporating the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
